At Saving the Gorilla Friends, our mission is to transform the lives of vulnerable children near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, while also promoting conservation and sustainable development.
History and Founding
Founded in 2024, our organization was established with the goal of creating a positive impact in the lives of children living in the vicinity of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Since then, we have been dedicated to our mission, making a difference in the community.
Our Goals
We strive to provide access to quality education, healthcare, and mentorship for the children, while also implementing conservation initiatives and sustainable development projects to ensure a brighter future for both the community and the environment.

Creating Lasting Change
Through our efforts, we hope to improve access to education, healthcare, and conservation initiatives, positively impacting the lives of the vulnerable children near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Education and Empowerment
We facilitate access to quality education and mentorship programs, empowering the children to build a better future for themselves and their community. At the beginning of the term, we provided tuition to some children, scholastic materials and uniforms to the vulnerable children as evidenced in the pictures.
Conservation Success
Our conservation initiative is improving literacy, education, conservation, health lifestyles and creating postive thinking among vulnerable community members

Having worked as a teacher in various schools and a community Librarian, I discovered that children and orphans who come from humble families live a a miserable life both at school and at home due to high levels of poverty and Iliteracy.The above problems pushed us to the formation of SAVING THE GORILLA FRIENDS. Lets Join hands as to ignite a passion for conservation in young minds and communities, fostering a deeper understanding and commitment to protecting our planet’s incredible wildlife. At Saving the Gorilla Friends, I’m dedicated to creating educational experiences that empower individuals to become active stewards of gorilla conservation.
TWIJUKYE SCORA
As a dedicated educator with 9 years of experience, my passion lies in mentoring vulnerable children to help them reach their full potential. I believe that every child deserves a supportive environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I am also dedicated in guiding and sharing knowledge in agriculture through demostrating core skills in vegetable growing and keeping of animals on small scale.
